The Channel Islands economies have grown significantly over the last two decades. With a combined population of just under 160,000 residents, a low tax and high disposable income environment, it is an attractive place to do business.

At the heart of our franchise development is our 45 year old relationship with Marks & Spencer, which has led to us operating a range of store types in partnership with our M&S colleagues in the UK.

We also have an unbeatable track record in introducing established brands to the Channel Islands. In the past two years we have opened units in partnership with Iceland, (The  4th Iceland Channel Island Store recently opened in The Parade St Helier, Jersey), Costa Coffee, Pasty Presto, Hotel Chocolat and Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK). The second gbk restaurant in the Channel Islands is now open in Market Square, St Peter Port, Guernsey.

Our latest developments are Crew Clothing and Jack Wills. 

Crew Clothing is a highly respected British brand and has attracted a loyal following since it was founded in Devon nearly 20 years ago. The first Crew Clothing store opened in St Peter Port on the site of the former Pioneer fancy goods shop at 32 High Street in the autumn. This will be followed by a site in St Helier when a suitable location is found.

Jack Wills is a mid-range, quality British clothing brand synonymous with British heritage and style. The first Jack Wills store was launched just 12 years ago in Devon. The brand has been such a success that there are now more than 40 stores across the UK, two in Ireland and three in the USA.

We recently purchased the C.T. Maine building in King Street St Helier which has been restored and now provides a tailor-made solution for the Jersey store of this very trendy unisex brand. More than half a million pounds was spent restoring the building keeping its original features, ready to house Jack Wills, the ‘Fabulously British’ clothing and lifestyle brand.

Our success is down to our understanding of the local marketplace and the skills and experience of our team. The SandpiperCI Operating Board all have significant experience at Director level with UK retailers.
