Pasty Presto

SandpiperCI introduced the first ever Pasty Presto store to the Channel Islands on 10th November 2009 with the launch of the 56-seater Le Pollet outlet in Guernsey with free WIFI access and some of the best views over Castle Cornet!

Due to its phenomenal success, a further Pasty Presto was opened on 27th May 2011 at the new Liberty Wharf development at St Helier, Jersey.

The first in Jersey and the first ever outlet to open at Liberty Wharf , the new store will be Pasty Presto's 25th and employs up to 10 staff locally. With seating for 60 customers, including alfresco areas on the edge of Liberation Square and in a covered area at the rear of the building, the outlet is situated at the Liberation Square end of the development in part of what was the old Jersey Tourism building.

Originally starting in 1994 as a single shop in Mevagissey, Cornwall, Pasty Presto set the standards for the best authentic hand made Cornish Pasties using the finest ingredients available. The successful formula worked and Pasty Presto stores have expanded throughout the UK and the Channel Islands.

Explaining why his products were different, Steve Grocutt, founder and MD of Pasty Presto said: "We are meticulous over detail. From the blend of our coffee to the quality ingredients in our pasties we strive for the best. Anyone can make a pasty, but it’s the sheer ‘Cornishness’ of ours that have made our business so successful.”

Pasty Presto offers a wide and extensive menu, including authentic handmade Cornish Pasties, the finest viennoiserie from France, a variety of rolls filled daily with unique handmade fillings, as well as muffins and scones.

The organisation strives for perfection in food preparation, customer service and environmental issues, even down to the way their rubbish is disposed. Each and every process is carefully considered to ensure the highest standards at all times.
