Further proof of our retail credentials is the success of our own retail businesses in the Channel Islands.

As the largest retailer in the islands with wholly-owned operations in Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney, our current portfolio consists of 6 Food Halls, 15 convenience stores and 8 petrol forecourts, as well as 5 Wine Warehouses. Our variety of fascia is each clearly targeted at a specific sector in the local marketplace

The great success of Operation Hamper - Age Concern

Operation Hamper began as a small goodwill gesture, but with the help of all parts of the community has grown in size and become a great success. Local schools, Parish Halls, businesses, volunteers of Age Concern, Sandpiper staff and not forgetting our loyal Sandpiper customers have come together and given generously to the cause. Every item transported to the storage base was date checked, sorted and accounted for with great coordination and organisation. The work involved was exhausting but the rewards have been fantastic.

Local business, Government buildings and associations have given informative information leaflets which will compile together as an information pack for each hamper.

Sandpiper wanted to provide 200 food hampers to the elderly in our community to assist in stocking up their food cupboards over the festive period. What transpired has been phenomenal. On the 13th December it all came to a close and after 13 long hours the final hamper was packed and ready for delivery. Over 200 luxury food hampers were out on the roads to be delivered by Age Concern Jersey on the14th December. Daphne Minihane of Age Concern has organised the hampers to go to those names given to her by Doctors, Connétables, Family Nursing Services & Meals on Wheels to name a few. There are many elderly people in our community who are not receivers of goodwill at Christmas and this will help in some way for them to enjoy the festive season. The community has certainly pulled together with this venture and shown their generosity. As a result it has been planned for Sandpiper to provide hampers again next year. We thank everyone who took time in helping such a great cause.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen Corporate Event

On Thursday 8th December Gourmet Burger Kitchen Guernsey catered for the JT & Wave Telecom ice rink launch party for 160 people. The menu was tailored to our guests requirements. This included mini hand made burgers and cones of gbk fries, the entire selection of our while you wait’s with gbk's home made dipping sauces and mini versions of our salads. A very enjoyable evening was had by all and we look forward to welcoming many more corporate parties to our venue over the coming months.
