SandpiperCI introduced the first ever Pasty Presto store to the Channel Islands in November 2010 with the launch of the 56-seater Le Pollet outlet in Guernsey with free WIFI access and some of the best views over Castle Cornet!
Due to its phenomenal success, a further Pasty Presto will now be opening at the major Liberty Wharf development at St Helier, Jersey, in May 2010.
Pasty Presto is the leader in the fast growing market of authentic Cornish Pasty retailers and this exciting new venture offers a wide range of high quality food including a fantastic range of different flavoured Cornish Pasties, filled baguettes, soups, French patisseries, a range of handmade cakes, fairly traded coffee, fresh smoothies, ice cold drinks for take-away or sit in.
Explaining why his products were different, Steve Grocutt, founder and MD of Pasty Presto said: "We are meticulous over detail. From the blend of our coffee to the quality ingredients in our pasties we strive for the best. Anyone can make a pasty, but it’s the sheer ‘Cornishness’ of ours that have made our business so successful. We’re really looking forward to our first venture in the Channel Islands.”
SandpiperCI was approached by the UK-based brand owners who had identified opportunities to expand their business into the Channel Islands but who were missing local knowledge, expertise and the required local infrastructure to run the stores. They realised they needed someone locally-based to identify suitable premises with sufficient footfall, as well as to work through all the local regulations, recruit and train staff and manage the design, equipment installation and shop fitting of the store. SandpiperCI were perfectly placed to provide this expertise being based in the Channel Islands and with a fantastic track record of introducing UK brands such as M&S, Robert Dyas, Iceland and Costa Coffee to the islands.
