About Safeway
Safeway was acquired from Morrisons in 2005 by SandpiperCI\'s predecessor, CI Traders, and became part of the SandpiperCI portfolio when we acquired CI Traders in 2007.
There are two Safeway supermarkets in the Channel Islands – one in Jersey and the other in Guernsey.
The Safeway offer appeals to everyday shoppers seeking great value for money on their main shop. Safeway provides this through our wide choice of fresh, ambient and non-food lines including Iceland and Heritage lines as well as "Megadeals" promotions on the famous name brands.
The value element of the Safeway offer was further enhanced in November 2009 with the launch of "Safeway Supersavers"; a bespoke value range.
In July 2009, the Safeway brand was relaunched as the “home of Megadeals”. The stores are now brighter, much easier to shop and a more enjoyable experience for our customers.
The arrival of the latest Safeway Megadeals leaflet is an event looked forward to by many island shoppers every month.
