Introducing the new look Checkers supermarkets.......
It's been a year of phenomenal change at Checkers!
Both the Checkers supermarkets in Jersey at Red Houses and St Saviour have recently undergone major upgrades to improve customers’ shopping experience. The stores have been rebranded, redecorated, layouts improved and the introduction of new British meats and fresh produce to provide even better choice to existing and new customers.
SandpiperCI CEO Tony O’Neill said: “ongoing investment into our retail estate has proved a winning formula, we are welcoming new customers every week as we improve our ranges and quality. A recent British lamb promotion improved our meat sales more than tenfold which demonstrates the success our new stores are experiencing.”
To celebrate the new style Checkers, Michelin-star chef Shaun Rankin of Bohemia, Great British Menu and treacle tart fame came to St Saviour in September and demonstrated his culinary skills with a cookery demonstration where he conjured up 3 delicious meals using fresh meat and other ingredients every single one of which can be bought at Checkers.
Checkers at Admiral Park, Guernsey is also being refurbished and will relaunch officially on Saturday, 21st November with in-store sampling of our fresh foods and a chance for customers to win a trolley dash a day through our free competition which they can enter in store or via email or text with Guernsey's "Island FM" radio station.
