SandpiperCI opens the first outlet in new Liberty Wharf development

Launching today is the first ever Pasty Presto store in Jersey at the Liberty Wharf shopping centre (the old abattoir site) this Thursday, 27th May.

Pasty Presto is the leader in the fast growing market of authentic Cornish Pasty retailers and is situated at the Liberation Square end of the development in part of what was the old Jersey Tourism building.

Originally starting in 1994 as a single shop in Mevagissey, Cornwall, Pasty Presto set the standards for the best authentic hand made Cornish Pasties using the finest ingredients available. The successful formula worked and Pasty Presto stores have expanded throughout the UK, including a very popular store in St Peter Port which Sandpiper opened last year.

SandpiperCI CEO, Tony O’Neill said: “This is the first of several quality outlets we’re intending to open in Liberty Wharf. In September we’ll be opening a large 10,000 square feet Marks and Spencer Home store, along with a Costa Coffee outlet and Hotel Chocolat, the luxury British chocolatier. Liberty Wharf will provide a unique shopping experience for locals and visitors and will add a useful retail link between the Waterfront and traditional Town Centre.”

This will be Pasty Presto’s 25th outlet which will employ up to 10 staff locally. The outlet has seating for 60 customers including alfresco areas on the edge of Liberation Square and in a covered area at the rear of the building.

Pasty Presto offers a wide and extensive menu, including authentic handmade Cornish Pasties, the finest viennoiserie from France, a variety of rolls filled daily with unique handmade fillings, as well as muffins and scones.

The organisation strives for perfection in food preparation, customer service and environmental issues, even down to the way their rubbish is disposed. Each and every process is carefully considered to ensure the highest standards at all times.
