Delve into our long-standing retail franchise partnerships and our impact and involvement in island life.

In February 2016 the business was bought by a consortium of Channel Islands based investors together with the Management team.

The Channel Islands consortium was assembled by Ravenscroft Limited and includes Bailiwick Investments Limited and other private clients of Ravenscroft Limited.

Ravenscroft Limited is an independently owned investment services group based in the Channel Islands which has £6bn of assets under administration for both private clients and management of institutional clients from around the world.

In May 2019 SandpiperCI Group Limited were successfully listed on the International Stock Exchange.

    SandpiperCI opens their first Apple Authorised Premium Reseller (APR) Official Apple Service Provider (ASP) store in the Isle of Man.

  • Card Factory opens in the Isle of Man

    SandpiperCI opens their first Card Factory store in the Isle of Man.

  • Card Factory opens in Jersey

    SandpiperCI acquires the Card Factory franchise and opens their first store in King Street.

    SandpiperCI now has 100,000,000 shares in issue and the opening market capitalisation of the company is £75m.

    SandpiperCI was bought out by a consortium of investors who are completely Channel Island based.

  • Burger King opens in Jersey

    SandpiperCI acquired and opened Burger King in St Helier.

  • The first Costa Coffee opens in Spain

    In 2014 SandpiperCI opened a Costa Coffee at Miramar in Spain. This being the first SandpiperCI store not in the Channel Islands.

  • Crew Clothing opens in Jersey

    SandpiperCI acquired and opened Crew Clothing in St Helier, Jersey.

  • George opens in Jersey

    SandpiperCI announces with Asda they would be one of the first organisations in the world to run a pilot George franchise at Liberty Wharf, Jersey.

  • Moss Bros. opens in Jersey

    SandpiperCI acquired and opened Moss Bros. in Liberty Wharf, Jersey.

  • Pasty Presto opens in Jersey

    SandpiperCI acquired and opened its second Pasty Presto in Liberty Wharf.

    The M&S franchise was named the 2nd longest international franchise in the world.

    C.I. Traders Limited was formed by the merger of Ann Street Group, Le Riche Group and lists on the AIM market. Company focuses on retail property, food services and hospitality.

  • Checkers opens in Guernsey

    Le Riche opened the first Checkers supermarket in Guernsey.

  • The first Wine Warehouse opens in Jersey

    Le Riche opened the first Wine Warehouse at Five Oaks, St Saviour.

  • Checkers supermarket opens in Jersey

    Le Riche opened the first Checkers supermarket in Jersey.

  • Marks and Spencer franchise comes to Jersey

    Originally selling ladies, men's and children's clothing, customers quickly embraced M&S' unique offering so the store's product range increased to include textiles, food and home products over the next few years.

  • William Le Bas Benest

    Founder of Benest, bought a small family grocer and provision merchant near Millbrook Corner from two Le Couteur sisters. It is not known when the site was first used as a food retail shop, but it is probably one of the oldest in Jersey.

  • Le Riche Jersey

    Founded by Samuel and Marie Le Riche who originally opened their grocers shop in St Helier.
