Monthly charity round-up December 2022

December has been a very busy month for us, with lots going on, from charity raffles and festive donations to Christmas lunches. Below is our monthly round-up of charitable donations for last month.

Good Companions Christmas Lunch

To help ensure everyone had a memorable Christmas lunch, year after year, we have provided the good Companions Club with fresh turkeys to feed all 200 members. Our partners from Iceland Foods UK also kindly donated 200 boxes of chocolates, so that everyone had something to take home with them.

Brighter Futures Selection Box donation

In partnership with Morrisons UK, we are delighted to have had the opportunity to once again contribute to Brighter Futures Christmas Appeal by donating 200 Cadbury selection boxes. These were given out to the children of their clients in December.

Jersey Round Table Santa Sleigh Run

We were delighted to once again have had the opportunity to support the Jersey Round Table with their Santa Sleigh Run by providing 40 tubs of sweets. This superb event heads to all corners of the island over the course of the week, delighting many children and adults alike.

St Brelade's Parish Hall Christmas Fayre

We were more than happy to support the parish of St Brelade's with their Christmas Fayre by donating 3 tubs of sweets as raffle prizes. This event raised an amazing £212.

Channel Television Christmas Charity Raffle

Every year Channel Television holds an employee only raffle. We were pleased to be able to support them by donating a Morrisons Daily hamper as a prize. All proceeds from this year's raffle went to their chosen charity, The Bailiff's Ukraine Appeal.

Friends of JNU chocolates donation

Iceland Parade was more than happy to donate 24 boxes of Lindt Lindor Chocolates to the Friends of JNU. These were then used to gift all of the Nurses and staff working in the Jersey Neonatal unit this Christmas.

Guernsey Alzheimer Society

Iceland Cobo was pleased to support Guernsey's Alzheimer's Society by donating 80 mince pies to their refreshment stall at the Town Church Christmas Tree Festival on 8th December. The proceeds from this event went towards supporting local people living with dementia and their careers.

Hautlieu School OAP Christmas Party

Year 12 students from Hautlieu school organised a Christmas party for local senior citizens which is solely run on donations from the school, parents and local businesses. We were pleased to support them with this event by donating 20 boxes of yummy chocolates.

CLIC Sargent Christmas Raffle

JTC Group held a Christmas raffle in aid of their chosen charity, CLIC Sargent. Morrisons Daily was happy to have been able to support the event by donating two hampers as prizes. JTC Group were able to raise an outstanding £10,000 for this worthwhile charity.

Rosaire Community Association Christmas Raffle

We were pleased to be able to support the Rosaire Community Association by donating food items to be used in hampers for their Christmas charity raffle. The association provides social activities and events for people over 55 years old in the parish of St Peter Port to promote physical and mental wellbeing in order to reduce social isolation.

Charity Raffle in aid of Autism Jersey

Morrisons Daily was pleased to be able to support JT's Christmas charity raffle in aid of Autism Jersey by donating a food hamper. Autism Jersey is a local charity enabling people on the autism spectrum to achieve their potential by advocating for an inclusive community and providing personalised services to individuals, families and carers.

Parkinsons Jersey Christmas Raffle

We were pleased to be able to support Parkinson's Jersey this month by donating two boxes of festive chocolates and a box of biscuits to their Christmas Raffle. Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting local people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers.

Jersey Alzheimer's Association Christmas Raffle

The Jersey Alzheimer's Association held a Christmas wreath-making event at the Freedom Centre on Saturday 17th December. Morrisons Daily was happy to support this event by donating a food hamper as one of the raffle prizes.

Mind Jersey drop-in event

Mind Jersey opened a Friends of Mind drop-in centre for their community where people can pop down to have a chat and spend time together in a nice relaxing event, we were more than happy to support the event by donating a selection of confectionery for participants to enjoy.

Street Pastors lolly donations

Street Pastors is a non-profit organisation which provides reassurance, safety and support on the streets of St Helier from 11pm to 3am. Iceland New Era was once again happy to support this cause by donating 40 packs of lollies.

Health Community Workers Christmas Advent

We were pleased to be able to support the Health Community Workers at the General Hospital by donating a selection of Matchmaker chocolates as prizes for their Christmas advent.
