Sandpiper donates to the General Hospital’s Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU)

The unit is based within the Maternity Unit where specially trained midwives and neonatal nurses look after babies who may need extra care if they’re born before 37 weeks.

Donated items included beautifully soft body suits, sleep suits and comfy Babywear designed for tiny babies during their first few weeks.

Grace Smith, one of Sandpiper’s senior store managers said: “The Midwifes at the SCBU were extremely grateful for our donation because they are always in need of premature baby clothes and any help that can be offered to newborn babies and parents is always much-appreciated.”
