Anticipating the race
The day’s festivities were all in support of our local partnered charity, Jersey Hospice Care! With a Costa Coffee run to start the morning and help keep everyones energy high, the day was filled with laughter, friendly rivalry, community competition and most importantly lots and lots of fundraising from the 48 local businesses taking part.
Get ready, get set, PADDLE!
Our ‘Sandpiper Skippers’, made up of colleagues from across the business, were out in full force, setting sail on a 40ft canoe-like dragon boat. Our drummer Steph kept everyone in time, and it was a race against the clock to reach the finish line in the fastest time. The ‘Skippers’ may not have qualified for the final race at the end of the day, but they certainly showcased their teamwork during the heats! With their quickest time in the final round of 01:03, - we think is pretty impressive for a team of first-timers! A massive thank you to everyone who took part, you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves!
