Celebrating Pascal’s Sandpiper Story

Many Jersey locals will know the face of Pascal Bideau – one of our longest serving colleagues and this month celebrating 35 years of loyal service. Starting with Le Riche Stores back in 1989 as a General Assistant, Pascal has witnessed the company evolve, seeing people and brands come and go over the years.

During his employment, Pascal progressed to his current role of Driver and has proved an invaluable asset across the our Food Retail estate.

With over 3 decades of service under his belt, Pascal still makes our customers smile today with his friendly demeanour and ‘can-do’ attitude. Many of you see him on his Iceland delivery route, always going above and beyond to help local islanders. One customer had this to say about their experience; “I used the home delivery for the first time, but I was not home at the time. The delivery guy Pascal had delivered the shopping and packed my freezer (it was in the garage) for me. What superb service! Honestly what a breath of fresh air, as a new mum this helped immensely. Thank you!”

As a two-time Pride of Jersey awards nominee, customers and colleagues alike describe Pascal as a polite and dedicated hard worker. “Always smiling, nothing is ever too much trouble for Pascal. He would go out of his way to help anyone” says former colleague, Sarah Noel.

Food Retail Operations Director Andrew Holmes, comments “Pascal always goes above and beyond for Sandpiper and is a true team player. You could say he is a DRIVING force!” When reflecting on his time with the company, Pascal had this to say; “I have completed 35 years in my job at Le Riches and SandpiperCI. Can’t believe where the time has gone!” Pascal is the seventh-longest serving member in our company! We couldn’t be prouder to have someone like him in the SandpiperCI family. Thank you for your continued loyalty, Pascal!
