The Southsea Santa Run for Rowans Hospice – £1000 raised
In the festive spirit of giving, two intrepid coworkers from our Portchester Buying team – Charlotte and Sonia– traded their usual attire for Santa suits and running shoes to participate in the Southsea Santa Run. Their goal? To support the vital work of Rowans Hospice, a beacon of hope for those in South East Hampshire!
Rowans Hospice is renowned for its exceptional palliative care, offering physical and psychological support to patients and their families. This indispensable service, primarily funded through donations and fundraising efforts, makes events like the Southsea Santa Run invaluable.
Charlotte, a self-proclaimed non-runner, embraced the challenge with gusto. "I'm not a runner," she admits, "so finishing in under 45 minutes felt like a personal triumph!" Her achievement, along with Sonia's, exemplifies the power of community and compassion.
Their participation underscores a vital message: every step taken and every penny donated furthers the hospice’s ability to provide care and support.
