Monthly Charity Round Up – January & February 2024

Charity and community are at the heart of our core values here at SandpiperCI, which is why it is important that we as an organisation are proactive within the amazing groups and not-for-profits in the territories.

2023 involved lots of events within the local community and the start of 2024 has been no different as we have got stuck in with donations, and fundraisers of all types.

Friends of the Jersey Neonatal Unit

This amazing not-for-profit raises funds for the special care baby unit, providing life-saving help to local families. Our Marks & Spencer team kindly donated 70 packs of muslin cloths to this vital charity, that's about £750 worth of essential supplies.

Autism Jersey

This charity provides assistance and support for people on the autism spectrum. Autism Jersey advocate for an inclusive community to maximise the potential of people within their care, as well as their loved ones. Marks & Spencers again donated £300 worth of stock to aid the objectives of the amazing work they do at Autism Jersey.

The Kennel Club Jersey

The Kennel Club is a long-standing animal welfare charity that strives for, “the improvement of the breeds of dogs in the island”. The charity recently hosted the 'Channel Islands Dog of the year', an event that our Iceland New Era team supported by donating a variety of items such as food and wine for the competitors of the local competition.

St Saviour Senior Citizen Luncheon

Meanwhile, the Marks & Spencer Food King Street team have been helping keep bellies full and the community together by donating hampers to the St Saviour Senior Citizen Luncheon. Events such as this are crucial to keep our local community harmonious and thriving.

Guernsey Swimming Club

Our SandpiperCI team have been aiding the athletes of Guernsey, by donating a £20 voucher as a raffle prize to the Guernsey Swimming Club! This is another club that helps bring the community together as well as providing beneficial exercise to the people of Guernsey.

Brightly

Marks & Spencer have been busy once again with the donation of a £100 voucher! This time they have chosen the vital charity Brightly to support. This group aids young people who are supported by children's services, with the ultimate aim to provide more independence for youngsters.

LV Care Group

Our SandpiperCI team donated a £20 voucher to local healthcare organisation, LV Care Group. Mental health is a subject that is often overlooked within the medical world, and it is vital that groups such as these exist to highlight and care for people that would otherwise be forgotten.
